About Dexter
We're proud to serve Dexter.
Dexter dog parents know the routine: a morning at Hudson Mills or on the Border-to-Border Trail, then a stop at Dog O Mat on the way home. We are just down Jackson Ave, with everything ready for a quick, easy bath.
Why Dexter dog parents choose us
With metroparks, the Huron River, and miles of trail right out the back door, Dexter dogs live an outdoor life. Our self-service stations were made for post-adventure cleanups, and our groomers handle the full makeovers.
A little about Dexter
Founded by Judge Samuel Dexter in 1824, the village grew alongside Mill Creek and the railroad. Landmarks like Gordon Hall and one of Michigan's oldest cider mills give Dexter its historic charm, and its trail network makes it a favorite for people with dogs.

What Makes Us Different
Not all dog washes are created equal.
Wash Your Dog, Skip the Mess
Waist-high tubs, shampoo, conditioner, towels, brushes, and aprons, all included for $20 to $22, with blow dryers for $5 per half hour. You get the bonding time and the clean dog. The fur, the puddles, and the clogged drain stay with us.
Patient With Anxious Dogs
Dogs who panicked at other groomers are our regulars. Our behavior-focused, compassionate approach wins over nervous dogs, and dog parents tell us the difference is night and day.
A True One Stop Shop
Self-service baths, professional grooming, walk-in nail trims, de-skunking, and a stocked shop with toys, supplies, and premium food. One trip covers everything your dog needs, and we are backed by Karnik Pet Lodge.
