When You Need It

When do you need Nail Trims?

If any of this sounds familiar, it's time.

Nails grow quietly until they become a problem. Here is when a quick stop at our shop makes all the difference.

  • 01

You can hear them on the floor

The tap-tap-tap on hardwood is your dog telling you it is time. That sound means the nails are already touching the ground.

  • 02

Nail day is a wrestling match

If trimming at home means chasing, pinning, and guilt, hand it to us. Patient handling and quick hands make it a non-event.

  • 03

    Nail trims were tough elsewhere

If your dog has struggled with nail trims elsewhere, call ahead and tell us what has worked or hasn't so we can make the visit as comfortable as possible.

  • 04

    Black nails you cannot read

Dark nails hide the quick, which makes home trims a gamble. We work with them every day.

  • 05

    Senior dogs and thick nails

Older dogs often grow thicker nails while walking less to wear them down. Regular trims keep them comfortable.

  • 06

    You are already here anyway

Getting a bath or picking up food? Add a $15 nail trim and check everything off in one stop.

    Nail Trims, Anxious Dog

“If you have an anxious pup then I 100% would recommend coming here! I have been taking my 4 year old Aussie to the big box groomers for nail trims for years and he's always HATED it. I was advised by them that he would need a muzzle and not welcomed back. I found Dog O Mat and met Beth. Her behavioral focused approach and compassion toward animals made all the difference! She understands K9s well and the perpetual trauma they experience with groomers and embraces a different approach to be successful. My only regret is that I didn't find her sooner!! Thank you so much for showing my pup and me kindness and compassion!”

    Nail Trims

“We love dogomat! Our adolescent Labrador retriever, Rosie, needed her nails clipped regularly but wouldnt let us do it and was starting to get nippy with the folks at doggy daycare when they did it. We brought her to dogomat and they put her at ease - they didn't make her walk on scary slippery hardwood floors or get up on the grooming stand, but did her nails on the floor mat where she was most comfortable. They're always happy to see her and they have delicious pigs ears which she always enjoys as her treat for getting her nails done. We haven't used their bath or grooming services yet but will be happy to try them when she needs them.”

“This place is amazing! They do a wonderful job cutting my dog's black nails and I love being able to wash and blow dry her myself. The chicken feet for purchase near the checkout are a great treat too!”
